Preserving Cultural Monuments – Germany Again on UNESCO World Heritage Committee

Germany's election to the World Heritage Committee means it will be able to play a major role in shaping the development of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention in the next four years. The committee's role includes deciding on the addition of new sites for the prestigious World Heritage List. Germany itself is home to 36 World Heritage sites.
